Pocket Pillar ("the App") is a structural design tool developed by Gourav Modi. This privacy policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
1. Data Collection, Storage, and Sharing
Pocket Pillar operates primarily as an offline tool, but offers specific cloud-based features for community sharing.
Local Storage & Modifications: By default, all canvas drawings, structural elements, and project metadata are stored locally on your device. You can download templates from the public Marketplace, and any modifications or edits you make to those templates remain strictly on your device.
Share for Review (Cloud Hosting): If you actively choose to use the "Share for Review" feature, you explicitly consent to uploading the selected project data to our servers.
Public Accessibility: Once a shared project is accepted, it becomes accessible to ANYONE via the public Marketplace. Other users will be able to view, download, and modify your design. Do not share confidential, proprietary, or classified client blueprints. You retain ownership of your designs, but grant us a license to host, display, and distribute them to the community.
2. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions for specific features:
Storage/Media Access:Required only to save and export the generated structural PDF plans to your device's storage so you can share them with contractors or clients.
3. Internet Usage & Third-Party Services
The App requires internet access to provide core online functionalities. Specifically, your network connection is used to:
- Browse, view, and download design templates from the public Marketplace.
- Upload your own designs for community review (only triggered when you explicitly click "Share for Review").
- Submit reports regarding inappropriate, broken, or copyrighted designs.
- Communicate with Google Play Billing to process premium subscriptions and verify purchases.
Google's processing of your payment information is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not transmit your local drawings or usage analytics to any external servers without your explicit action.
4. Security
Since your data stays on your device, its security is protected by your device's own security features (passcode, biometric lock). We recommend keeping your device updated to the latest security standards.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
